JTAG / Boundary Scan
With increasing board densities and
use of digital signals, the electronics industry has developed a
further way of testing products called Boundary scan.
The method involves the designer
connecting various pins on JTAG compliant devices to each other and
providing an access point for external connection - normally a pin
header.
With this connection we are able to
have your specific board programmed for use on our Goepel Test
Equipment.
The benefit to you the customer is
a much reduced test time compared to functional testing and for us
it provides almost pin point, accurate diagnostic information for
boards failing test.
We'd be happy to access your
current designs to see if they are suitable for this technology or
work with your designers to help build in Boundary Scan capability
on your next design.
