Electronics remains one of the most dynamic industries with a vast array of new products continually coming to market.

These new products utilize new components often in new formats and / or reduced sizes and have demanding cost targets to achieve market acceptance.

As a forward thinking CEM, Speedboard monitors trends in component and assembly technologies and makes critical choices about capital expenditure to keep our technology and capability ahead of customers' requirements, so that we can offer proven processes when they are needed.

As an example of this we are currently partnering with a component manufacturer to undertake trials of chip on chip - we believe this will be of future benefit to some of our customers.

We also need to ensure we offer the full range of services required by our customers and be prepared to fill any gaps that exist. For example a few years ago we installed a conformal coating facility to meet the requirements of a growing number of customers requiring this process. This has in turn lead to a number of new customers looking for this capability in house.
